Designing some apps lately

Hey there UI fans!

I've been away from this blog for a couple weeks now, but I've been very busy.  First, I'd like to remind everyone about my other blog, that I run with my web designer friend Sam.  I've been posting somewhat regularly over there, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Secondly, I've been busy working on some new apps.  One of these apps is a project I'm using to learn more about a few basic Frameworks in iOS.  It's a restaurant app that I'm targeting toward a local sub-sandwich chain restaurant here in the midwest. I'm learning about several frameworks, including MapKit, Social, CoreText, and CoreLocation.  The other app I've been working on is for an upcoming Ice Cream chain, and it is going to use similar frameworks.

Lastly, I've been adding some features to my Dice Tracker app, which I may or may not publish in the near future.  My friends and I wanted a way to remotely roll the dice, so I created a version that uses GameKit to send data over a Bluetooth connection.  It works really well, and I even included some avatars of our players that look around, blink, and turn into barbarians if you roll a 7.  It's pretty sweet.
